IN PASSING: Stories of Medical Aid in Dying

Medical Aid in Dying or MAID (erroneously called euthanasia, assisted suicide, mercy killing) became legal in New Mexico in. 2021, It is joined by 13 other states and the District of Columbia. This book recounts about two dozen of the stories of brave people who have chosen to pass away in this dignified, painless manner, at the place and time they chose, with those present whom they needed to support them. Five requirements must be met for eligibility. They are being over 18, of sound mind (decisionally capable), able to self administer liquid, located at a New Mexico address, and terminally ill (determined by two providers to have less than six months to live.
